Miranda earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Michigan-Flint, with a minor in Aging & Gerontology. Her academic background was further enriched by an internship at the Valley Area Agency on Aging in Flint, where she deepened her understanding of aging services and community-based support systems.
She is a dedicated professional with over 13 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in patient engagement and recreation. Miranda's career has been marked by her commitment to enhancing the quality of life for diverse patient groups, including seniors and individuals of all ages with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and multi-traumas from auto accidents. She has worked in settings like an assisted living & skilled nursing facility, as well as a rehabilitation center and adult foster care. She has consistently focused on providing meaningful recreational activities and events, ranging from simple in-house activities to high-level adaptive recreation in the community.
In addition to her extensive experience in direct patient care, she has also worked in radiology marketing, serving as a liaison within physician offices in Genesee and Lapeer Counties. This role allowed her to develop a comprehensive understanding of healthcare delivery, broadening her expertise and enhancing her ability to advocate effectively for patient needs.
Her focus at Mannor Law Group is coordinating education in the community through our workshops, facility in-services, the annual Elder Advocacy & Law Boot Camp, and the annual Elder Advocacy Summit. She also attends networking events, expos, and assists with our social media and Advice From Your Advocates podcast.
